Light Fantastic

So my experiment with Lux continues, albeit not quite at the pace I had imagined. Since starting a lot has changed in League of Legends. The mastery system has been reworked, and a few items had been added such as Frost Queens claim which synced so well with Lux’s kit and the new masteries that for a few weeks in Season five she was actually “In the Meta” and was being played at pro level, though this has fallen off in recent patches.
There are plenty of Vods out there on youtube and the like, a quick check of the Lady of Luminosities’ home on reddit has shown she’s still getting a bit of love in the Korean league this week, but overall things have calmed down, and to be fair most of the time it was a fairly conservative play-style being shown, her kit and ult used more for farming and harass than 1v1 takedowns. That said there were some nice team fight action, and Im just very happy to see her being played, tempered with the knock on effect that she’d see more play in lower levels because of this, and could possibly in turn see a nerf of her skill set, though I think she’s in a good position risk v reward so unlikely Riot would do anything too drastic.
As for my own games down in straw league, well they’re continuing, I’m in a good position overall considering how little I play the game currently (3v3 days officially behind me). I am enjoying the new queue system, which I think has improved things a lot, but League is fighting for play time with many other distractions currently so I’m a little on and off with it.
